Cosmic Flower Unfolding at SUNDANCE!

My film “Cosmic Flower Unfolding” will be showcased at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. You can find it playing at the Sundance Lounge as part of the Experimental Animation exhibit.
The Sundance Film Festival, a program of the Sundance Institute, is an American film festival that takes place annually in Utah. With 46,731 attendees in 2012, it is the largest independent film festival in the United States.

Just remember, “If you can’t make it to Sundance by walking down the red carpet, there’s always the back door”

Thanks to Wildlife and Sundance for including me in the exhibit!

Fest Anca, Žilina, Slova

My film “Inner Space Artifacts” has been selected to screen at Fest Anca

The International animation festival Fest Anča was first mentioned back in 2008 and since the start it has been located in what used to be an ancient settlement and currently is an industrial regional city called Žilina, lying on the North-West of Slovakia. Since the very beginning, the event is connected with the cultural centre Stanica Žilina-Záriečie and is being carried out during the extended weekend after the summer solstice. The festival, tagged as hot and cool at the same time doesn’t spread out red carpets, however the festival’s archives are full of interesting international guests. Cautiously selected short animated films from all around the world compete for the precious trophys: Anča Award, Anča Music Video Award, Anča Student Award, Anča Kids’Award, Anča D Award.
The top animated films, side by side with antiquarian, foreign and ever interesting animated bitts and pieces are brought to Slovakia thanks to Fest Anča. The program is also devoted to lectures, workshops, discussions with film directors, concerts and exhibitions.

About the festival-

Parallel Studios

CURRENTS provides the community with opportunities to experience New Media Arts in traditional venues, public and outdoor spaces. 5000 visitors attended festival events in 2013. The Festival is enjoyed by a broad demographic – children spinning through the galleries reveling in interactive New Media – seniors contemplating image and meaning – working class families – and savvy collectors.

The Festival is the result of a collaboration between Parallel Studios, its partners throughout he city and the many volunteers who invest their time to support this project. It is truly a community endeavor.
